About the service

Is it really free?

Yes. The assessment, the written roadmap, the advisory calls, the proposals, and the negotiation support are all free to you. Bridgepointe Technologies is paid by suppliers, out of their own margin, at rates that are consistent across suppliers, when and if you choose one. You will never receive an invoice from us, and your pricing is the same or better than buying direct, because providers quote through Bridgepointe's volume relationships.

Do you favor certain providers?

No. Bridgepointe's supplier compensation is set at consistent rates, so there's no financial reason to steer you toward one provider over another. Advisors are evaluated on client outcomes, not deal volume. We'll also recommend options that pay us nothing, open-source Proxmox, or extending your current Broadcom contract, when they're the best fit. The recommendation process is based solely on fit to your requirements.

Are you affiliated with VMware or Broadcom?

No. VMware Migration Hub is powered by Bridgepointe Technologies, an independent, vendor-neutral technology advisory firm founded in 2002. We are not affiliated with Broadcom, VMware, or any specific alternative platform vendor.

What size organizations do you work with?

Our primary focus is mid-market organizations running roughly 25 to 2,000 VMware VMs, large enough that the Broadcom increase hurts, small enough that Broadcom isn't negotiating hard to keep you. We also work with smaller organizations approaching their first major renewal and larger organizations with specific business-unit needs.

What if I only want a price check?

That's fine, and common. Many clients start by asking us to sanity-check a Broadcom renewal quote or benchmark what their environment would cost elsewhere. You'll get an honest read on whether your number is high, and what the realistic alternatives cost. There's no obligation to go further than that.

About migration

Will you try to sell me a specific product?

No. Your roadmap presents your top 2–3 options based on your situation, including open-source alternatives like Proxmox if they're the best fit. We'll also tell you if extending your current VMware contract by a year while you plan is the right move. You'll never get a vendor pitch in the assessment process.

What information do I need to complete the assessment?

A rough VM count, your current annual VMware spend (or last renewal invoice), your renewal date if known, and a sense of your priorities, cost reduction, simplicity, timeline. Exact figures are not required for an initial assessment.

How fast can I get proposals?

You receive a written roadmap within 48 hours of submitting the assessment. If you ask us to request proposals, most providers return initial pricing within one to two weeks, depending on environment complexity. If you're up against a renewal deadline, tell us, we can compress the process and pursue a bridge extension with Broadcom in parallel so you're never negotiating against the clock.

Do you provide implementation services?

Bridgepointe manages the provider selection and negotiation process and can provide project oversight. Implementation is typically performed by your selected provider or a Bridgepointe-recommended managed service partner. We remain involved as your advocate through go-live, and we're your escalation path afterward.

About staying on VMware

Can I keep VMware without paying Broadcom prices?

Yes, and this is one of the most important things we help with. VMware Cloud Service Providers like 11:11 Systems, Expedient, Flexential, and TierPoint carry Broadcom licensing at scale pricing, so you keep vSphere, vCenter, and your existing workflows at significantly lower cost, without the operational burden. For many organizations this is the fastest, lowest-risk path forward, and we always present it alongside migration alternatives so you can make a fully informed decision.

Can I just get help negotiating my Broadcom renewal?

Yes. Bridgepointe advisors negotiate VMware/Broadcom renewals regularly and can help you evaluate whether a bridge extension or reduced-scope renewal makes sense while you weigh alternatives. Worth knowing: credible competing proposals in hand are the strongest leverage in any Broadcom negotiation, and we can arrange both at once. This is one of the most common first steps clients take with us.

Do I have to migrate off VMware to work with you?

Not at all. A significant share of our clients keep VMware and simply stop paying Broadcom-direct prices, either through a lower-cost provider or a better-negotiated renewal. If staying on VMware is the right call for your organization, short-term or long-term, we'll help you get there at a price that makes sense.

How long does the assessment process take?

Your submission goes to the Bridgepointe advisor handling your assessment and nowhere else. We never sell your information, and we share it with a provider only when you ask us to request a proposal from that provider. Details in our Privacy Policy.

What industries do you specialize in?

We have significant experience in healthcare (HIPAA, EHR-connected environments), financial services (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, SOX), manufacturing (ERP, OT/IT convergence), government and SLED (FedRAMP, StateRAMP), and general mid-market IT.
